Stand-in parodies are a form of subtitle parodies (not limited to Inside Out parodies) in which the subtitled characters are merely stand-ins for some other characters or real people. This type of subtitle parody, not restricted to the original setting or character interaction, allows much greater creative freedom. This is most frequently used to depict the emotions of characters whose minds Inside Out has not showcased, but settings outside those have been indulged in as well.
Most often, the "realm" of the stand-in characters might use a different language. In that case, in particular with Inside Out parodies, a different dub might get used.

Minds of other characters[]
The stand-in format can sometimes be used to depict Riley's (or another Inside Out character's) mind as an original character's. This is the primary basis of Whose Mind is This?, in which the mind's host is subject to a guessing game. Other videos using the technique include Inside Hitler (depicting Adolf Hitler) and The Fall and Rise of Surreal Animation (depicting the leader of a Discord server rivaling Pizza Planet).
Various New Parliament series[]
These series are intended to depict the internal politics of the parliaments of their respective countries. However, due to either ineptitude in politics (as is the case with Theresa May's) or an intent to parody said ineptitude (as is the case with Ingrida Šimonytė's), all the roles are assigned to either people in the government party/coalition or other rulers, to the complete exclusion of the opposition.
The dub used matches the official or de facto official languages of the governments being depicted.
Theresa May's new Parliament[]
Boris Johnson: Agreed. Hey, how many EU regulations on pillows were there again?”
This series depicts events after the referendum to leave the European Union, which led to Prime Minister David Cameron resigning and being replaced with Theresa May (represented by Joy). In the meantime, the country's monarch, Elizabeth II, represented by Sadness, is treated in a way similar to that in Riley's mind, owing to the country being a constitutional monarchy in which the monarch is not much more than a puppet of the government formed by the elected parliament's majority party.
These parodies use the original, English version of Inside Out. However, as the parodies themselves are in English as well, this can cause confusion for viewers; however, the alternative has been rejected by CreativityTheEmotion, who dismissively commented "What? You expected British politicians to speak Russian?"
Ingrida Šimonytė's new Parliament[]
Aušrinė Armonaitė: weed gays weed gays weed gays weed gays weed gays weed gays weed gays”
This series depicts events immediately after the 2020 Lithuanian parliamentary election, which CreativityTheEmotion was highly involved in, trying her best to stay away from anything involving the US elections occurring in the same season. In addition, it lampoons many tropes first established in Theresa May's, such as only focusing on government parties, although some more attention is given to their characters, pulling details from real life, and in general, relatively more significant people are given attention, including all the leaders and list leaders of government parties, as well as the President.
Doki Doki Literature Club![]
MC: It's coming, one way or another.
Monika: That's the exact spirit I will need all of you to have when you listen to me!”
So far, there has been one Doki Doki Literature Club! stand-in parody, Monika plans for the festival. However, there are quite a few differences between that video and a typical stand-in parody, as the video replaces Inside Out footage with a unique script running on Ren'Py, Doki Doki Literature Club!'s engine. In addition, third-party sprites for the protagonist of DDLC are used, as he, as the point-of-view character, never directly appears, other than in one CG where he's seen from the back.
The dub used is Japanese, fitting the style and setting of Doki Doki Literature Club!. However, the voice of Fear is replaced with that of Riley Andersen to properly depict Sayori.
The Literature Club's leader and the Joy counterpart is Monika. Her personality has been changed from canon, and instead of mistreating every Literature Club member, she only mistreats Yuri, the Sadness counterpart.
